How to mine Dogecoins

I've included here two folders with the necessary files to start mining Dogecoins right away. If after downloading the file you see it has no extension, append .zip to its name or open it as a .zip file.

If you've never mined Dogecoins before, you can follow these steps to test your hardware:

Dogecoin

Symbol - DOGE

Algorithm - Scrypt

Total Coins - 100 billions

Block Time - 1 minute

Coins per Block - [0 - 1,000,000] (random)

Coins per Block are halved every 100,000 Blocks; fixed 10,000 coins reward after Block #600,000

Difficulty Retarget every 4 Hours / 240 Blocks

First Block mined on December 8, 2013

If you've never mined Devcoins before, you can follow these steps to test your hardware:

Devcoin

Symbol - DVC

Algorithm - SHA-256

Total Coins - Undetermined (transaction limit - 21 billion)

Block Time - 10 minutes

Coins per Block - 50,000 (90% goes to foundation, 10% goes to miners)

Coins per Block will always be 50,000

Difficulty Retarget every 2,016 Blocks

First Block mined on July 22, 2011
